This eighteen-week course is designed for seniors who are self-motivated and have a strong interest in either pottery, sculpture and are able to work on the level of a freshman in college in one of the areas. This course is
designed to have students work with more advance techniques, materials, tools, and increase personal concepts. AP students will be required to keep a sketchbook, write two art history reports, complete two art criticism blocks and complete assigned studio work. Students must produce a portfolio consisting of original artwork and digital images of their artwork to be submitted for national testing at the end of the school year. At the end of the school year the student should have completed a portfolio with at least 24 artworks. Students need to take this course in the fall and in the spring to complete their portfolios.This course requires permission from the AP Visual Art Instructor

This eighteen-week course is a continuation of Studio Art II (AP). This course will allow the students to continue working on their AP portfolio will be sent in May to be nationally judged and scored. Some colleges will accept AP Studio Art as a college credit depending on the national score a student receives.
